The Nativity comes to life in the historic centre of the town of San Damiano d’Asti, in a truly unique historical representation.

A path that unwinds through the evocative cellars and squares of the town centre, where over one hundred figures bring the story of the nativity to the stage every year with its symbolic places and the most classic figures of the crib: the bagpiper, the Magi, the Roman guards, the washerwomen, the carpenters, the shoemakers, the carvers, the bakers, the artisans, the merchants, the blacksmiths and of course the Bethlehem cave where the Child Jesus was born.

San Damiano is a town located in the Borbore valley that is wedged between the Langhe, Alto Monferrato and Roero. The ancient ramparts are now pleasant tree-lined avenues from which to enjoy glimpses of the village and the surrounding landscape.
